There’s no better way than to dive into a world of coffee than to immerse you senses into it. Coffee cupping, or observing the taste and aromas of brewed coffee, is a professional practice but it can also be informally done by anyone. In this class, you’ll learn to deeply sniff the coffee, slurp the coffee so that the taste will fill your mouth. You’ll get the first insight into identifying the coffee’s taste, its sweetness, acidity, flavor, and after taste. You may even attempt to identify the coffee’s origins, its distinct roasting profile, and to set the defect coffee apart from the good.
This class is made up of theoretical coffee knowledge, green coffee beans grading, sensory analysis and an introduction into the science of olfactory… and lots and lots of cupping practices. a
